Chef Ralph Perrotti graduated from Johnson and Wales Culinary in 1983 and J&W Pastry in 1984. He worked at Café in the Barn from 1983-1987 under Chef John Elhay, one of the most innovative Chefs in the Providence Rhode Island area.
Chef Perrotti moved back to New Jersey and worked at Arqua under Chef
Leonardo Pulito where he learned the love of simple, clean, flavorful Italian Style cooking.
In 1991, he opened Gabriels with partner Gabriel Cuello and received accolades from the New York Times, New York Magazine and many other publications for his simple and flavorful approach to Italian Cuisine.
In the mid 2000’s he worked in various Italian Restaurants until he was brought on to work with Lou Seger at LuNello’s Montville Inn. He and Lou share the same ideals and passion when it comes to cooking.
